Welcome Sharan! :) One of the features that is going to be released in 4.1 is the ability to add TTL to snapshots, but this hasn't been documented yet afaik.
There's a preliminary documentation patch available on https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CASSANDRA-16887 if you want to take a stab at it.
