The "easiest" (in quotes given the size of that cluster) approach is to add a new datacenter with shiny new nodes and configured for single token. Once the 'add' is complete, de-commission the old one. This approach of evacuating to a new DC is pretty safe. The only downside is the temporary 2x capacity cost.
