1, start jconsole (or some other JMX client, 
http://java-source.net/open-source/jmx)
2, connect to your running CassandraDeamon
3, navigate to the MBeans tab
4, expand org.apache.cassandra.service.StorageService -> Operations
5, last in the operation list you'll find "loadSchemaFromXML", invoke that 
method
