Hey team, There is a Hackathon event at Community Over Code Glasgow taking place in October, 2026. I am planning to attend the event and help drive the Hackathon for Impala where there is going to be some focus on the new planner based on Calcite. Since I will be there I thought that it will be a good opportunity to also set up a slot for Calcite.
Should we put up a Hackathon entry for Calcite? Are there people planning to attend the conference and hopefully the event? If you have ideas about Calcite work that we want to push forward and is a good candidate for a Hackathon project feel free to add the hackathon2026 jira label to the ticket.
