Sounds good. My understanding at this moment is that, if there is an interesting idea, make sure creating a JIRA and label that by "mentor" and "gsoc2021" [1]. Once ASF is confirmed as a mentoring organization, there will be a process to register a project in the GSOC website, and then all will start from there.
Could a PMC member create these two labels? I am willing to be a mentor this year. I will try to come up with a few ideas in March.
