I believe that we should send the announcement, the fact that there is a
bug in the Prometheus metrics provider is a problem for everyone,  I know
many projects that do not care about it and also the release has been
deployed to Maven Central .

In my opinion it is better to end the release cycle and follow up with a
4.14.1 release.

There is no shame in announcing 4.14.0.

The release notes of 4.14.1 will be a one liner.
