Hi Everyone, Enrico had suggested that conversations are best had on the mailing list as the ASF uses that as a metric to understand the community activity and health. In our recent quarterly report, we noticed that there were A LOT of slack messages and not as many emails which paints an incorrect picture of our community. So I was thinking of how to direct more conversations to the mailing list and came across this bot which the Pulsar team uses called Digest.AI. It's a bot which summarizes the daily conversations happening in each channel and sends an email to the mailing list of that channel with all the messages that happened there.
I tried adding the bot to our BookKeeper slack, and obviously wasn't able to. @Sijie Guo <guosi...@gmail.com> @Enrico Olivelli <eolive...@gmail.com> anyone who is a slack admin, can we please try to add this app: https://apachebookkeeper.slack.com/apps/A1QP2Q8DB-digestai ? We'll also need a gmail account to send the emails from digest.ai to the mailing list. I see that Pulsar uses <apache.pulsar.sl...@gmail.com>, we can have a similar apache.bookkeeper.slack@gmail account as well. Can anyone help me set this up?
