Claude has been contributing to Beam since 2024.
During that time, he significantly improved the
Python SDK and Beam's ML offerings, including
authoring the bulk of Beam's embedding primitives.
Recently, he completed our tricky migration to
Cloudpickle, a project we'd attempted a few times
before 😅. Beyond code, Claude has pushed Beam
forward with his contributions on the mailing list
and talks at Beam Summit [2] and Beam College.
Considering his contributions to the project over
this timeframe, the Beam PMC trusts Claude with
the responsibilities of a Beam committer. [3]
Thank you Claude, we are looking to see more of
