Hi all, I'd like to volunteer to manage the next Beam release, which is 2.62.0.
The branch cut is scheduled for December 25! That doesn't seem like a great time to cut a release branch. I propose to cut a week earlier on December 18. This way if anyone does any wild and fun hacks over the holiday season the release branch will be spared :-) As usual, please help with the release by: - Making sure that any unresolved release blocking issues have their "Milestone" marked as "2.62.0 Release" as soon as possible. - Reviewing the current release blockers [2] and remove the Milestone if they don't meet the criteria at [3]. There are currently 4 release blockers, one of which is a flaky test. I inspected and found a number of flaky test blockers left on past milestones so I'll do a thorough check of tests anyhow.
