Hello Everyone, I realize that we missed this deadline. I have assembled a report for December, but it may be preferable to submit it for the January review. I will let the mentor decide what to do (sign or postpone).
Here is a short recap of the last three months: - We dropped a new release (thank you for the reviews). - Joe Polastre, from FlightAware, created a fast tile exporter for Baremaps [2]. - We had interesting exchanges with the Apache SIS community. - I implemented support for PMTiles, 3D building extrusion, and minutely/hourly/daily diffs from OpenStreetMap. In 2024, I believe that the main challenge will be growing the community. As I usually work on this project outside of work hours, I'm probably guilty of focusing too much on the technical aspects (yes, maps and code are relaxing ;-). In this context, help and suggestions from other committers on how to improve the community would be greatly appreciated. For instance, we could organize a meeting to discuss the roadmap and better distribute work and tasks. We could also plan presentations for conferences (Community Over Code US and EU in 2024) and explore if video recordings could be used to enhance the documentation. Any ideas or suggestions is welcome and would be very helpful. I wish you all a nice holiday!
