Hi, My name is Nick Wiersma, I am the owner of https://github.com/hamba/avro a Go package for Avro. It is reasonably popular and being used but both https://github.com/apache/arrow-go and https://github.com/apache/iceberg-go.
I wanted to know if there was any interest on your end for the donation of the codebase to the Apache Foundation. I noticed that there is no official Apache implementation of Avro in Go, so this could be a good fit. I no longer work directly with Avro and have less time than I would like to work on/maintain the project, and I hope that it being part of Apache will put it in good hands to be maintained in the future, even when I personally cannot. I would like to start a discussion on this if there is interest. Best regards, Nick
