Nir Zamir commented on AVRO-1310:
---------------------------------
Hi,
I don't have a problem installing the whole trunk, but it just doesn't work.
I still tried what you suggested, but no luck:
1. 'mvn clean install' from 'trunk' fails on 'Avro Compiler' (3 tests fail). I
proceeded anyway...
2. 'mvn install' from lang/java is not working (build fails).
3. 'mvn -pl mapred -am' also failed on avro-ipc build:
[ERROR] Failed to execute goal on project avro-mapred: Could not resolve
dependencies for project org.apache.avro:avro-mapred:jar:1.7.5-SNAPSHOT: Could
not find artifact org.apache.avro:avro-ipc:jar:tests:1.7.5-SNAPSHOT in
apache.snapshots (http://repository.apache.org/snapshots)
> Avro Maven project can't be built from scratch

> Components: java
> Affects Versions: 1.7.4

> Reporter: Nir Zamir
>
> When getting the Java 'trunk' from SVN and trying to use Maven Install ('mvn
> install') there are errors.
> Most of the errors are in tests so I tried skipping the tests but it still
> fails.
