All, I'd like to propose updating the minimum Java version for *DB/Hyracks from the current level of 11 to 17. As Java 11 premier support ended on 30-Sep, and Java 17 has been out for over two years, it seems like a reasonable change to make at this point.
In addition to requiring Java 17, I would like to enable Java 17 language-level, to enable features added after Java 11. If any of you have concerns, please reply- I intend to make these changes on master within the next week or so. Note- I will ensure the Jenkins jobs are updated to run w/ Java 17 before making this change. Thanks! -MDB
