Hi all,

My name is Hyukjin Kwon, and I’m a PMC member and committer in Apache
Spark. Recently, I’ve started contributing to Apache Arrow with the goal of
understanding the project more deeply and helping improve the integration
between Arrow and Spark.

To get familiar with the Arrow codebase and development process, I’ve been
working on small contributions such as fixing typos, improving
documentation, and addressing TODOs in tests. I currently have several open
pull requests (mostly minor and straightforward I believe) that are waiting
for review:

I would greatly appreciate any guidance or feedback on these PRs when you
have time. I’m in the early stages of contributing to Arrow, so any help
will be valuable for me to ramp up more quickly and align with the
project’s expectations.

Please don’t feel pressured - there’s no urgency, and I’m intentionally
slowing down my contributions so I don’t overload the review queue. I’m
simply looking forward to learning from the community and contributing more
effectively over time.

Thank you very much in advance, and I appreciate all the work the Arrow
community does.

Best regards,
Hyukjin Kwon
