Hi Apache Arrow Community, I was working with the Arrow Flight protocol and wanted to understand it a little better. I have read some blogs on Arrow Flight and also watched talks where it was mentioned that Arrow Flight removes layers of the gRPC-Arrow software stack resulting in less copies and function calls. This sounded quite interesting to me, but unfortunately I wasn't able to find more detailed information on it. If anyone can please explain a little bit what exactly are the optimizations or the shortcuts that are taken, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot.
