Hi,

During the last couple of weekly community calls there has been a
discussion raised around the necessity of creating a patch release for
14.0.2. There have been several issues tagged with the
"backport-candidate" label [1].

>From my understanding the issues are mainly fixing some possible
segmentation faults and performance regressions.

I wanted to start a discussion in case there are other issues that
should make it to the possible patch release and also in case we don't
think it is necessary.

I could work on the patch release.

I think we probably want to wait until [2] is fixed but we can start
working on validating CI, etcetera while the fix is finalised.

If there are other issues that should be added to the possible 14.0.2
patch release, please add the "backport-candidate" label.

Following our quarterly major release schedule 15.0.0 code freeze
should probably be around Monday 8th of January.

Kind regards,
Raúl
