As we have discussed [5], the Rust bi-weekly releases are going to come off master now, and this is the first such release.
Therefore, it is with great excitement that I would like to propose a release of Apache Arrow Rust Implementation, version 8.0.0. Among other things, this resolves the last outstanding specific security issues [6][7] we know of.
