Topics Discussed

   -

   Status of 3.0.0 Release
   -

We want to do another Rust-specific release blog post - Andy Grove to
create Google doc for us to collaborate on
   -

      We should note API changes
      -

   Miri / CI integration
   -

      Work planned for next release
      -

   Buildkite status
   -

   Roadmap
   -

Andrew Lamb to create Google doc - we would like to know what
features people want to see added and what features people are
planning on
      contributing to
      -

We will discuss this doc in the next call
      -

   Release process
   -

There is a desire for the Rust project to be able to cut more
frequent releases and patches now that companies are starting to rely on
the core Arrow crate in production
      -

We also discussed the idea of having unofficial alpha/beta/nightly
releases - and the challenges around that
      -

We discussed the fact that even within the Rust subproject, we have
sub-subprojects with different levels of maturity that arguably have
different release needs (e.g. DataFusion is towards the lower end of the
maturity scale but the core Arrow crate is at the higher end)
