hi folks, As discussed on the Arrow and Parquet mailing lists ([1]) and resolved by vote on the Parquet mailing list ([2]), we are proposing to develop the Arrow and Parquet C++ libraries out of the apache/arrow git repository, while continuing to create separate Parquet C++ releases.
In order to make this work, we are proposing also to offer commit/push access to Parquet committers who are working on the C++ code base and who are not already Arrow committers. The Arrow PMC may choose to make such individuals Arrow committers based on the merit of their contributions to Apache Arrow in particular.
