I do agree with the idea to make the non-core plugins out of APISIX repo, since users requirements are always different , if the plugin numbers keep growth, the APISIX become heavy ,which is not what we wanted . In the fureture we can do it like Wordpress, make is avilable from dashboard, and the dashboard has a section called plugin plaza, where user can pick up the plugins that they wanted
