Checked differences to 1.10.17 as tagged in git, and checked and found
differences between source distribution and git.
Please make sure the right version ends up in git and is tagged.

Downloaded the tar file, checked a few manuals, the WHATSNEW and ran

I realized while the commit went on our build generates sha checksums
for the CycloneDX SBOMs of the source and binary tarballs only, not for
the manual. I manually created the missing files, hence two
commits. I'll fix it in build.xml in master.
