Jean - We can try out the latest master, but probably not for a bit, as we're in the middle of shoring up our own RC.
My concern is more around 2.4.x. If that bug exists in 2.4.x, it means 2.4.x is mostly dead-on-arrival. Our sbt users hit the issue immediately, even if our own unit tests did not, as these users are heavily entwined in the maven ecosystem. If you haven't already, just adding anything which tests Hadoop library resolution would be good. I've been trying to get us a test case for parent-pom related issues, and hadoop provides amble fodder. So, we won't' be able to offer any testing assistance this month, and I don't have the repeatable test-case for any quick validation.
