I was going to argue that we should stick to a lower version of Ant so people can build it without worrying much of the version they have already installed.
But Ant is bootstrapping itself, we don't actually have any requirement for the build of Ant. On Jenkins Ant is just used to detect is we are on Windows or Linux and launch the proper bootstrapper.
