The changes you propose would recommend using multiple taskdef tasks to declare multiple related tasks - in fact this is not the way we'd encourage people to do that, they'd better use an antlib or taskdef's resource attribute instead. Also you talk about "namespace in the Java VM" which is a bit confusing since there is no such thing. What you mean is they share the same classloader.
