You mean like adding path elements to a <path>, or nested selectors to a <selector>? That would be useful indeed. If attributes can be changed as well, that's not aumentation anymore, but editing, no? Can only "top-level" elements be augmented, or id'd nested elements as well? Can one "prevent" augmentation while still having an id attribute?
