STOP PLAYING AROUND WITH BUGZILLA
why do I suspect someone is trying to automate bugzilla filings?
You mean, if he has finished automatisation we should move to Jira? ;-)
we got a truckload of spam on jira on our (public) work server until
they added captcha checks to the latest jira (3.8?). Even with
trackbacks turned off, we'd get bugreps full of links. The problems were
-jira didnt do any authentication or email validation before issuing
an account.
-it was easy to search for jira installations on the web
in a way, its a success metric of jira: its used enough that its
worthwhile for link spammers to write software to spam it. But its
inconvenient to have to purge the entries every morning...the new jira
release has fixed that.
