http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=40624 Summary: Documentation misleading about use of ANT_HOME Product: Ant Version: 1.6.5 Platform: All OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Documentation AssignedTo: dev@ant.apache.org ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] BugsThisDependsOn: 40623 The install documentation says that one should set the ANT_HOME environment variable. This is NOT sufficient, becauase, if there is an /etc/ant.conf file on the system, any setting in that file will supersede the setting in the user's environment. Instead the documentation should tell the user to set up a ~/.antrc file to set the ANT_HOME environment variable. Settings in that file WILL supersede system-wide settings. -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
