I found the reason why I cannot build on Solaris - <chmod> does nothing. I added "-v" option into bootstrap.sh and this is what was printed:
Current OS is SunOS Current OS is SunOS Current OS is SunOS That is it. The scripts do not have executable permission and the following test fails with error.
