http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=36361 [EMAIL PROTECTED] changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution| |WONTFIX ------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2005-08-25 19:35 ------- Until Sun delivers JSR 203 it is not possible for Ant (or any pure Java application for that matter) to assign permissions on files. If you need to preserve permissions or other bulk file attributes use the <exec> task to run the native tar executable for your platform. Alternatively you can use the <chmod> task after untarring to selectively set permissions on certain files. -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
