http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=36104 changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Severity|major |normal Status|RESOLVED |REOPENED Component|Core tasks |Documentation Resolution|INVALID | ------- Additional Comments From 2005-08-17 00:54 ------- This fix worked. I would like to re-open this bug as a documentation bug because there is no documentation on how excludes works and I would still be working with this one if a developer hadn't explained this to me. Under fileset, there are examples displaying the "**/" type of excludes, but absolutely no documentation explaining what this MEANS. Also, if this is the way excludes works, then why does the debug display Tar$TarFileSet: Setup scanner in dir /home/ThomHehl/src/Javacode/rex/distrib with patternSet{ includes: [] excludes: [/home/ThomHehl/src/Javacode/rex/distrib/*.cgi, /home/ThomHehl/src/Javacode/rex/distrib/*.pl, /home/ThomHehl/src/Javacode/rex/distrib/rexml.jar] } Showing exactly the right file in the debug message, but is not evidently the file it was really going to exclude. I think both the debug and the docs need further work. -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: For additional commands, e-mail:
