On the other hand the ftp task can also be useful for retrieving required libraries that are not bundled with a project, without having to resort to a full blown dependency management tool. In any case, it's just convenience we are talking about here... I don't have any cases where I need to perform several operations, and if I had, I would probably write a macro.
