I'm with Peter here. A 1.6.3 release seems the better candidate for Eclipse 3.1.

If we push for the eclipse timetable, the risk is that we rush through the beta program too fast to find problems, and end up doing a 1.7.1 shortly thereafter.
Mind you, given that many end users dont touch ant till we do a full release, the .1 is almost inevitable.
