Do you mean the functions are not defined when n==1 or even n==0?

Its not a new function, view it more as a vector operation. A bit like
sum([1,2,3]) = 6 in listy languages.
Our <and> and <or>ops are not binary, they are n-ary for n>1; xor
merely continues the practise.
