I have commited the removal of authors patch. I made a CONTRIBUTORS file at the top level containing the authors names - without corresponding e-mail addresses.
I suppose it's too late for a -1 on removing the @author tags based on the board recommendation...
Well, all I can do is make sure the board won't be bothered with contributions with my name in an @author tags.
