FYI, Virus Alert! NAIT is currently seeing the effect of the Netsky.B virus inside the Intranet. There are many different attachments that come with the email, but there are several cases where ZIP files are attached. Please do not open the ZIP file, as it will continue to spread the virus. In most cases, the message is being sent from what appears to be an internal employee. However, whatever the source of the message, please delete the file if you were not expecting a ZIP file for business purposes.
Also, check your McAfee version (right click on the shield in your system tray and select “About”). You should be on virus definitions version 4.0.4325 on scan engine 4.3.20 (which can be seen on the Virus Scan “About” box). This version of the virus signature file is being pushed to each machine today, so you may still be in the update queue. If your virus definition file is up to date, simply delete the email messages. The emails will eventually decrease as we stop the ability of the virus to spread. If you opened a ZIP file, you should also run the virus scan, once you have the 4.0.4325 signature update, to ensure your computer is not currently infected.
