Java task interprets it's arguments incorrectly if terminated with \\

I couldn't say if this works under Linux - I'm using Winodes 2000.

The -verbose trace looks Ok (see below)

     [java] Executing 'C:\jre\bin\java.exe' with arguments:
     [java] '-classpath'
     [java] '-classpath'
     [java] 'C:\ant\ant.jar;C:\jre\lib\rt.jar;C:\log4j\log4j.jar
     [java] 'myClass'
     [java] 'Some text\\'
     [java] 'Second argument'

Java -version reports the following

java version "1.4.2"
Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2-b28)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2-b28, mixed mode)
