The Project Management Committee (PMC) for Apache [PROJECT] has invited Jens to become a PMC member and we are pleased to announce that they have accepted.
Jens has contributed for a long time already in quite a few areas https://github.com/apache/airflow/pulls?q=is%3Apr+author%3Ajscheffl+is%3Aclosed - UI, core, xcoms, important providers, but also dev- env and CI, logging. He has been very involved in a lot of discussions around Airflow 3 (and many more before) and led a number of things there. Jens is spear-heading AIP-68 (Extending Plugins) AIP-69 (Remote executor) and he also helps to complete AIP-44. He also was involved in solving and diagnosing (reporting) a number of security issues. A PMC member helps manage and guide the direction of the project. Congrats Jens! J.
