If it's accepted, I will proceed to finalise the prototype that's already
linked in the AIP, add documentation and tests, and prepare it for review.
This vote will last for 5 days (until 2021-05-05 01:00 UTC), and until at
least 3 votes have been cast. Of course, committers and PMC members both
get binding votes on AIPs.
