The most important part of proposing any additional GSoC project is
finding someone willing to be a mentor for it. IndexedDB is something
that has been problematic in the past, since nobody is really familiar
with the implementation requirements.

Hello,
I am interested in working with Mozilla in the scope of Google Summer of Code
and I am mostly interested in systems and databases.
I have seen that the only Servo project is the "off main thread html parsing"
but this will probably have some competing students.
Is there a chance that the IndexedDB project could fit in GSOC?
From the below github discussion, it seems that this task is halted for now due
to some enhancements that Servo needs.
I understand it is a big project, but maybe it can be partially defined and fit
in GSOC.

What are your thoughts?
