What's the motivation here? Do we expect this to get used by apps if it's Chrome OS only right now? I've been looking into this problem space (cloud storage for use by webapps) and the neatest thing I've run into so far is https://remotestorage.io/ . That has the benefit of being entirely content-side right now, which seems like a smart way to start out.
