Months late to this party, but I do not believe there is a well-thought-out 
reason why Firefox does not support the MS certificate store. There are 
rationalizations, certainly, and those who make them probably feel they are 
justified--but the bottom line is that Chrome, Safari, and IE all support MS' 
native certificate store, and so should Firefox. 

In this case, yes: if all the other lemmings are jumping off the cliff, so 
should Firefox. Make it opt-in if necessary, but make it happen.  That way end 
users won't have to dick around with multiple certificate stores in order to 
use Firefox, and the developers can feel they're maintaining their principled, 
if esoteric, stand.
