I just tested this myself and found that it works. The problem is inyour command-line:

--binary needs to be the full path of the binary, not the directory to it.

The error message could certainly be improved.  :)

Let me know if this doesn't resolve your issue.

Raymond, the problem you're experiencing is likely due to changes in
mozprocess/mozrunner API's that TPS hasn't been updated to handle.  Can
you file a bug about this, and assign it to me?
