I'm writing this post to see what obstacles/resistance there are to removing the make targets for running tests. Obviously a prerequisite is having mach reach feature parity with the make targets. What other concerns are there?
How about a comparison of how to run various test things in make vs mach? (eg, for various suites, whole run, just a dir, a single test, with gdb, etc)
I've not used mach yet, but if it's and as clean and simple as claimed, I'd want to switch wholesale. I can barely remember how to run anything but the basic invocations, and have to refer to the Devmo pages every time. Built-in help is good, but if it's still an ugly collection of esoteric invocations it's obviously less compelling.
