IMHO it should not. Why? Because DMS has its own release cycle. If it
was a module that has same versioning as main project, say
magnolia-module-mail, then yes, but since it is separated it should
always use lowest common denominator otherwise we would have to branch
such module every time we branch the main project and whole advantage of
having its own version and release cycle would be lost.
