We meet weekly to make sure backend and ops issues are taken care of, and
this is the summary of that meeting for this week.
- The deployment of train-72 noticed a couple of issues.
- There seems to be a bug in the customs-server that is punishing bad
login attempts more than it should, fix is ready here:
https://github.com/mozilla/fxa-customs-server/pull/145.
- Initial benchmarks show that looking up an IP address in our
blocklist takes 16ms, which is not nothing. We'd love to improve that.
- The Great OAuth Token Purge continues, having found quite a meaty chunk
of active tokens from a single day in November last year.
- The Devices view sample rate has been raised to 60%! Metrics show people
are kicking the tires, and wondering what that shiny blue refresh button is
for.
- We asked if we felt this meeting was pulling its weight. It was noted
that we do manage to use up the time every week talking about train
statuses and other Opsy things, so perhaps it is. It was also asked if
perhaps we could just have train status updates sent the mailing list.
Until next week!
