Hey all,

I looked into integrating FxA into mozilla's discourse instance[1] a couple
weeks back, but forgot to update the list.

Per what I was told in #communityit (see [2] for logs), an FxA integration
plugin already exists, but production deployment is blocked on two things:
first, the participation team hasn't defined a timeline for migrating away
from Persona, nor have they decided what they'll replace it with; second,
the community IT discourse developer is out until end of June, due to
exams, and they seem understandably hesitant to do anything without him
around.

Regarding the first issue (how to replace Persona), it would be great if
someone from FxA could reach out to participation folks (assuming that
hasn't happened already). I'll follow up when I'm back from vacation next
month (6/27).

As for the second issue (Discourse engineering), I'll ping Leo when I get
back, and see if any engineering help is needed. If someone wants to work
on this sooner, try giving Tad or yalam96 a shout in #communityit, though
it seems like it's pretty well stuck for now.

Cheers,

Jared
