The video was made using a local fxa-content-server branch that proxies auth server and oauth server requests for IE8 since IE8 cannot properly support CORS in the manner these servers expect (lack of custom headers, cookies).
I'll throw the branch up on Github to begin a feedback cycle. Currently the proxy is set up within the fxa-content-server process. Can nginx proxy requests based on the ua-string? If so, the fxa-content-server proxy could be a dev-only thing.
