A discssion indeed, which I even participated in, but it DID not in anyway discuss the impact, it didnt even imply there would be any change to base system behavior, and that should always be discussed before such visible UI behavior changes occur. I can promise you there well be feedback, probably in both directions from the userbase on this "yet another default behavior change."
