Can we technically change to ship fonts as part of gecko or even gaia, instead of gonk?
Technically, device fonts could also be shipped in the "fonts/" directory of the gecko profile, but this is platform-specific and wouldn't work in the desktop simulators.
Note that work is being done to allow shipping fonts via a "fonts/" directory of gecko's runtime environment. Once bug 998844 adds platform support, bug 1011562 will use that option to bundle Firefox OS fonts along with desktop simulators.
