I'm not sure about the SIM problem but to get a regular user build create a .userconfig file in your top-level B2G directory and add the following line to it: export VARIANT=user If you fancy the Firefox OS animation during boot up you'll also have to add this other line: export MOZILLA_OFFICIAL=1 Once you've done this clobber your build directories and build again.
